## Emergency Management Specialist

We are seeking an Emergency Management Specialist to provide expert guidance and leadership in emergency preparedness and response. This role is crucial for developing robust policies, executing critical operations, and continually improving our emergency management capabilities.

• *Key Responsibilities:**
• Advise senior management on emergency management regulations, policies, and best practices.
• Develop, implement, and refine operational policies, procedures, and emergency response instructions.
• Lead and execute specified emergency functions during both incidents and training exercises.
• Analyze response operations and exercises to identify gaps and recommend immediate corrective actions.
• Act as the primary technical expert for alert and notification systems, including developing all-hazards notification policies and methods.
• Operate, test, and recommend enhancements for emergency equipment and technology to boost operational effectiveness and security.
• *Qualifications:**
• *For GS-11 Level:**
• **Experience:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to our GS-09 level, involving duties similar to those listed above.
• **Education:** A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; or three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree; or an LL.M. degree (if related to the position's competencies).
• **Combination:** An equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
• *For GS-12 Level:**
• **Experience:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to our GS-11 level, involving duties similar to those listed above.
• All listed qualifications must be met by the application deadline. Relevant volunteer experience will be fully considered.*
