Job Description

Summary

Federal role handling time-sensitive emergency communications, operational support, and data analysis at GS-09/11 levels.

This position is for a (USAJOBS Title) at the (Pay Plan - Series - Grade Range) grade level, offering non-competitive promotion potential to the target grade based on performance and time-in-grade.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and manage time-sensitive emergency action messages, including authentication, interpretation, and forwarding.
  • Apply analytical and research techniques to resolve operational issues.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office applications to develop reports, compile data, and prepare briefing materials.
  • Implement and maintain communication security measures for physical and digital documents.
  • For GS-11 level, responsibilities also include preparing and maintaining chronological logs of events, participating in mock emergency exercises, and alerting officials during emergency warnings.

Qualifications (You must meet ONE of the following for the desired grade level):

For GS-09 Level:

  • Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level in Federal Service. This experience must demonstrate proficiency in at least two of the following areas:
- Handling time-sensitive emergency messages. - Utilizing analytical/research techniques to resolve issues. - Using Microsoft Office for reports, data, or briefs. - Applying communication security measures.
  • Education: A Master's or equivalent graduate degree (or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education), or an LL.B./J.D. in a relevant field.
  • Combination: An equivalent combination of specialized experience and graduate education.

For GS-11 Level:

  • Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level in Federal Service. This experience must demonstrate proficiency in at least two of the following areas:
- Handling time-sensitive emergency messages. - Preparing and maintaining chronological logs of events. - Participating in mock emergency exercises. - Alerting officials/agencies during emergency warnings.
  • Education: A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree (or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education), or an LL.M. in a relevant field.
  • Combination: An equivalent combination of specialized experience and graduate education.
