Job Description
Summary
Lead complex avionics and E3 test programs, providing project management and technical oversight in multi-spectral environments.
Join our team to lead and manage advanced test programs for avionics systems and electromagnetic environmental effects (E3). This role requires a seasoned professional with expertise in complex testing environments.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Apply expert knowledge to multi-spectral environment generation and stimulation of installed avionics systems under test.
- Lead and conduct Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) testing.
- Evaluate technical proposals and test configurations from senior engineers and scientists.
- Provide comprehensive project management, including resource allocation, budgeting, and technical oversight for test programs.
- Implement distributed simulation, installed systems testing, interoperability, and E3 testing for aircraft, avionics, and training systems.
- Determine test requirements and manage Verification, Validation, and Accreditation (VV&A) for test configurations in Installed Systems Test Facility (ISTF) and E3 environments.
- *Required Qualifications:**
- Minimum of one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13/DP-04 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable experience in the private/public sector.
- Demonstrated experience with multi-spectral environment generation, avionics system stimulation, and E3 testing.
- Proven ability to evaluate the technical feasibility and value of engineering proposals and test configurations.
- Strong project management skills, including budgeting, resource allocation, and technical program direction.
- Hands-on experience implementing distributed simulation, installed systems testing, interoperability, and E3 testing of aircraft, avionics, and training systems.
- Expertise in defining test requirements and performing VV&A for test configurations in ISTF and E3 environments.
