Lead complex national security programs, drive efficiency, and manage senior teams within the Federal government as a Senior Executive.

## Senior Executive Service (SES) Leader - National Security Programs

We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated leader to join the Senior Executive Service (SES) and significantly contribute to the efficiency and integrity of the Federal government. This pivotal role involves overseeing critical national security programs, driving strategic initiatives, and leading high-performing teams.

### Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for complex national security programs and initiatives.
  • Administer programs, ensuring alignment with mission objectives and fostering continuous improvement.
  • Manage a complex national security organization with multiple divisions and diverse missions.
  • Represent the Department at senior-level meetings, articulating strategic priorities and progress.
  • Champion efficiency, strategically managing resources, optimizing budgets, and implementing process/technological upgrades.
  • Cultivate a high-performance and high-accountability culture, leading and inspiring teams toward organizational goals.
  • Ensure the production of exceptional quality work, aligning individual and organizational results with strategic objectives.
### Required Qualifications (Demonstrated in Resume):

  • *Technical Qualifications (TQs):**
  • Expertise in strategic and operational planning for complex national security programs.
  • Proven ability to manage multi-divisional national security organizations.
  • Experience representing organizations at senior-level inter-agency or external meetings.
  • *Executive Core Qualifications (ECQs):**
  • **Commitment to the Rule of Law:** Deep understanding of the American government, Constitution, and public service.
  • **Driving Efficiency:** Demonstrated ability to manage resources, budget effectively, cut waste, and pursue operational improvements.
  • **Merit and Competence:** Proven capability to produce high-quality, reliable work.
  • **Leading People:** Ability to inspire and lead teams, foster a high-performance culture, and manage change effectively.
  • **Achieving Results:** Track record of achieving both individual and organizational outcomes aligned with strategic goals.
  • Note: Current SES members, OPM-certified SESCDP graduates, or those with SES reinstatement eligibility are exempt from addressing ECQs; please provide proof of eligibility.*
