Lead donor stewardship and communications for Georgetown Medical Center, ensuring gratitude, engagement, and impactful recognition.
Georgetown University Medical Center's Advancement team is seeking a dedicated **Director of Stewardship and Communications**. This role is critical for cultivating a strong culture of gratitude, ensuring donors are appropriately acknowledged, informed, and actively engaged with the university's mission.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Manage comprehensive stewardship initiatives for the Medical Center’s most significant donors.
- Design and implement meaningful acknowledgment, stewardship, and engagement activities.
- Support the planning and execution of visits and tailored communications with key leadership.
- Serve as the GUMC liaison, gathering data and content from academic units for donor financial and impact reports on endowed and current-use funds.
- Oversee and manage the GUMC gift acknowledgment process, ensuring timely and personalized communications from leadership.
- Collaborate with university-wide colleagues and external constituents to maintain high-quality donor involvement and engagement.
- *Required Qualifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- 5-7 years of professional experience, preferably in a higher education or non-profit environment.
- Superior organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Outstanding oral and written communication, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Proven diplomatic skills and ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
- Strong ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Experience managing both data-driven and relationship-driven projects.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite and Google Workspace.
- *Preferred Qualifications:**
- Experience working with philanthropic donors.
- Familiarity with fundraising databases or the Salesforce platform.
- Knowledge of Georgetown University.

- **Salary Range:** $66,783 - $126,720 (commensurate with qualifications and experience)
