Director of Marketing - Green Ventures & Partnerships
**Location:** Los Angeles, Washington D.C., or Remote
**Salary:** $115,000 - $125,000 annually
The Sierra Club seeks a high-energy Director of Marketing to lead strategic marketing and communications for its Green Ventures & Partnerships department. This role is crucial for elevating green business initiatives, corporate partnerships, impact investors, and values-driven fundraising campaigns that advance environmental, racial, economic, and gender justice.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Develop and implement integrated marketing strategies to drive revenue, participation, and awareness for fundraising events and campaigns.
* Lead cross-channel campaign rollouts (social, digital, print, broadcast), managing timelines and ensuring effective execution.
* Create compelling, on-brand pitch decks and presentation materials for fundraising, sponsorships, and stakeholder engagement.
* Elevate the department's profile through targeted storytelling, strategic content, and audience-first messaging.
* Oversee the creation and distribution of digital content across web, email, and social media, maintaining consistent voice and branding.
* Serve as a key thought partner, translating complex programs into accessible narratives and ensuring integrated messaging across teams.
* Monitor and analyze marketing and campaign performance, utilizing data to refine strategies and improve outcomes.
**Required Qualifications:**
* 5+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or brand strategy, ideally within nonprofit, environmental, or social impact sectors.
* Demonstrated success in creating and executing marketing strategies for fundraising events and high-impact campaigns.
* Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously.
* Excellent written, verbal, and visual storytelling skills.
* Proficiency in digital marketing, content strategy, and social media management.
* Proven ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams and external collaborators.
* Passion for environmental justice, sustainability, and the Sierra Club’s mission.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

* Background in cultural, entertainment, or cause marketing; experience with media campaigns and influencers is a strong plus.
