## Director for Business and International Taxation
This Senior Executive Service (SES) position seeks an accomplished leader to direct complex economic analysis and policy development for federal business and international taxation. You will drive strategic initiatives, manage significant programs, and lead expert teams within a critical government agency.
### Key Responsibilities:
- Direct an organizational unit focused on business and international tax policy.
- Lead in-depth economic and econometric analysis of complex tax policy and public finance issues, particularly federal income taxation.
- Formulate and analyze proposals for Internal Revenue Code revisions and reforms.
- Oversee program accountability, monitor progress, and adjust strategies to meet organizational goals.
- Supervise and develop high-performing teams, fostering a culture of accountability.
- Exercise significant policy-making and executive functions.
- Present complex analytical work effectively to diverse audiences, both orally and in writing.
- **Education:** Bachelor's degree in Economics from an accredited institution with at least 21 semester hours in statistics, accounting, or calculus; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- **Executive Experience:** Proven progressively responsible supervisory, managerial, or professional experience managing programs or organizations of significant scope and complexity. Demonstrated ability to direct units, ensure program success, monitor goals, and perform executive functions.
- **Current SES/CDP:** If applicable, clearly state current career SES status, reinstatement eligibility, or OPM-certified SES Candidate Development Program (including year) on your resume.
- **Commitment to Rule of Law:** Understanding of U.S. government, commitment to the Constitution and public service.

- **Expert Financial Economist:** Extensive experience in applied microeconomic research, particularly analyzing complex federal income tax policy. Proven record of effective presentations and publications.
- **Tax Policy and Tax Reform Expert:** Comprehensive knowledge of federal tax policy and exceptional skill in complex economic analysis. Expert in statistical/econometric techniques for tax policy, evidenced by significant recognition or publications. Understanding of Internal Revenue Code revision processes.
- **Organizational Knowledge:** In-depth understanding of the Office of Tax Analysis functions and its relationships with Treasury, IRS, Council of Economic Advisors, and Office of Management and Budget.
