## Senior Executive Service (SES) Leader: Economic & National Security Strategy
- *Overview:**
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Lead strategic resource management, budget optimization, and efficiency improvement initiatives.
- Apply advanced microeconomics, macroeconomics, and econometrics to national security challenges, force planning, and defense industrial base issues.
- Manage and oversee major resource allocation systems, such as the DoD's Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution System (PPBES).
- Cultivate and lead high-performing teams, fostering accountability and professional development.
- Formulate innovative strategies and ensure their effective implementation to achieve organizational goals aligned with national interests.
- Champion the rule of law and the principles of the American Founding in all actions and decisions.
- *Required Qualifications:**
- *Executive Core Qualifications (ECQs):** Demonstrated leadership experience must clearly reflect:

- *Technical Qualifications (TQs):**
- **TQ 1:** Demonstrated expertise in microeconomics, macroeconomics, and econometrics, applied specifically to national security issues, force planning (e.g., military/civilian manpower, defense industrial base, compensation, military health system).
- **TQ 2:** In-depth knowledge of concepts and procedures used in major resource allocation systems (e.g., DoD's Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution System - PPBES).
