## VA Advanced Practice Dietitian (GS-12)
Join our team as an Advanced Practice Dietitian (GS-12) to lead nutrition initiatives, drive evidence-based patient care, and contribute to professional development within a dynamic healthcare environment.
### Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate nutrition-related activities and teams.
- Apply evidence-based guidelines to establish or modify goals and improve patient outcomes.
- Develop and implement nutrition policies and standard operating procedures.
- Serve as a nutrition expert, providing technical guidance, direction, and staff development.
- Initiate and lead research or performance improvement studies.
- Present complex nutrition information to diverse groups of healthcare providers to influence care.
- **Citizenship:** United States Citizenship.
- **Language:** Proficient in spoken and written English.
- **Registration:** Current Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or Registered Dietitian (RD) with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
- **Experience:** Minimum of 1 year of experience as an RDN/RD at a level equivalent to GS-11.
- **Advanced Certification:** An Advanced Practice Certification from a nationally recognized certifying body (e.g., CDR, Association of Diabetes Care and Education Specialists, National Board of Nutrition Certification) directly relevant to the assignment
Commonly accepted certifications include:
### Preferred Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of clinical experience as a Nutrition Support Dietitian.
- Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC) certification.
- Ability to independently write TPN orders.
- Experience managing enteral nutrition modalities.
