Summary
Lead and manage a comprehensive executive travel program, coordinating all domestic and foreign logistics and ensuring compliance.
This position seeks a highly qualified professional to manage complex executive-level travel operations, both domestic and international. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in comprehensive travel program management, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and strategic support.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- **Executive Travel Program Management:** Lead and oversee all aspects of a high-level travel program for executives (e.g., cabinet-level, senior executives, political appointees), covering both foreign and domestic travel.
- **Comprehensive Travel Coordination:** Manage and coordinate all official travel activities, including visas, passports, accommodations, travel voucher preparation and processing, manifest creation, country clearances, cost estimates, security clearances, and personal travel profiles.
- **Risk Mitigation & Controls:** Develop and implement procedures and control systems to prevent fraud, waste, abuse, loss, and misappropriation of assets/funds within the travel program.
- **Data Management & Reporting:** Maintain informational databases for travel operations, generating essential reports and documentation for critical decision-making and timely mission planning and execution.
- **Performance Review & Improvement:** Coordinate after-action meetings and/or audits of travel to determine appropriate changes and corrective actions required.
- *Required Qualifications:**
- Minimum of one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service (or comparable experience in the private sector).
- Experience must demonstrate proficiency in all key responsibility areas listed above.
- Paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps), is creditable.
