Summary

Senior Legal Executive sought to lead complex federal litigation, manage teams, and enhance government efficiency.

We are seeking a highly committed and experienced legal executive to lead complex litigation efforts within the Federal government. This role requires a dedication to upholding the rule of law, serving the American people, and driving governmental efficiency.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Direct and oversee complex legal and factual issues, particularly in enforcement litigation.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive litigation strategies, including case review, briefing, oral advocacy, settlement negotiations, and appeal recommendations.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of lawyers and support personnel, ensuring high performance and accountability.
  • Set strategic priorities to meet client needs for a high-functioning group handling a large volume of complex, high-priority litigation.
  • Manage resources effectively, budget efficiently, identify and cut wasteful spending, and pursue efficiency through process and technological improvements.
  • Achieve both individual and organizational results, aligning outcomes with established goals.
  • *Required Qualifications:**
  • **Technical Expertise:**
* Demonstrated experience handling and overseeing complex legal and factual issues, specifically within enforcement litigation. * Proven leadership in directing legal teams, setting priorities, and ensuring the effective delivery of high-volume, complex litigation services.
  • **Executive Core Competencies (ECQs):** (For new SES entrants)
* Commitment to the U.S. Constitution, rule of law, and principles of the American founding. * Ability to strategically manage resources, drive efficiency, and achieve results through process and technology improvements. * Demonstrated technical competence and ability to produce exceptionally high-quality work. * Proven capability to lead and inspire teams, foster a high-performance, high-accountability culture, and guide through change. * Strong track record of achieving significant individual and organizational outcomes.
