Job Description
Summary
Seeking a senior international trade expert to advise, lead negotiations, and defend U.S. trade policies globally.
This senior-level position requires a minimum of one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in Federal service, or comparable experience in the private sector. Experience refers to both paid and unpaid work, including volunteer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a principal expert and senior advisor to government officials on trade negotiations and initiatives.
- Lead U.S. delegations or act as a senior representative in international trade negotiations, engagements, and conferences.
- Explain and defend U.S. trade policies to foreign governments, the public, the press, and Congress.
- Conduct in-depth legal and policy analysis of international trade issues, agreements, and their enforcement.
- Direct or lead interagency working groups and task forces focused on international trade.
