Summary

Lead IT security, strategic planning, and system development for complex law enforcement organizations.

The Deputy Assistant Director will lead critical strategic, technical, and cybersecurity initiatives. This role requires a strong commitment to public service, exceptional executive management skills, and deep expertise in IT systems and security.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • **Strategic & Operational Leadership:** Drive process improvement, strategic planning, and change management. Efficiently manage resources, optimize budgets, and champion technological upgrades and innovative programs.
  • **IT System & Software Development:** Oversee the acquisition, development, and implementation of advanced IT software systems, leveraging Agile methodologies and Artificial Intelligence (AI) best practices.
  • **Cybersecurity & Threat Management:** Lead the identification, analysis, and response to complex security threats. Integrate robust security practices into the software development lifecycle, analyze threat data for vulnerabilities, and secure blockchain technologies.
  • **Team Leadership & Development:** Lead, inspire, and develop high-performing, accountable teams. Effectively guide teams through organizational change.
  • **Stakeholder Engagement:** Provide exceptional service to large, diverse, and complex law enforcement organizations, managing strategic and competing objectives with various stakeholders.
  • *Required Qualifications:**
  • **Executive Leadership:** Demonstrated leadership ability with a commitment to public service, the rule of law, and driving significant organizational results.
  • **Technical Expertise:** Expert experience in IT software systems, modern development practices (Agile, AI), and comprehensive cybersecurity, including secure SDLC, threat analysis, and blockchain security.
  • **Strategic Management:** Proven executive-level experience in process improvement, strategic planning, project management, and change management within large, complex environments.
  • **Collaboration & Service:** Ability to consult with diverse stakeholders and provide excellent customer service to complex organizations.
