## Staff Dentist

We are seeking a dedicated Staff Dentist to provide comprehensive, unsupervised dental care to patients within VA facilities. This role requires a commitment to maintaining high professional standards and ensuring the well-being of assigned patients.

### Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver unsupervised general dentistry patient care and treatment.
• Uphold and maintain accepted standards of professional dental care within VA facilities.
• Assume full responsibility for the proper care and treatment of assigned patients.

### Required Qualifications:

• **Citizenship:** U.S. Citizen.
• **Education:** Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from a CODA-accredited or state-approved dental school.
• **Residency/Experience:**

* Completion of an approved residency program in general practice or specialty, or * Comparable experience as a dentist actively treating medically compromised patients. * (Waiver of residency/experience may be approved under unusual circumstances).

• **Licensure:** Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice dentistry in a U.S. State, Territory, or the District of Columbia. Must maintain current registration in the state of licensure if required.
• **Physical Requirements:** Ability to sit for long periods, perform recurring bending and reaching, and demonstrate above-average dexterity for manipulating dental instruments and materials.

### Preferred Experience:

• Experience working in an Operating Room environment.
• Previous experience conducting lectures, mentoring, or teaching.
