Data Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Scientist (GS-13) to apply advanced analytical techniques, develop innovative solutions, and translate complex data into actionable insights.

• *Key Responsibilities:**
• Apply computer science, mathematical, and statistical theories to gather, analyze, and model quantitative data.
• Design and construct new processes for interpreting trends, relationships, and correlations within datasets.
• Develop automated solutions to complex analytical problems.
• Perform data cleaning, manipulation, and create derived metrics.
• Utilize data visualization tools to effectively communicate analytical results through graphics, charts, and complex visualizations.
• Organize and present technical content clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Collaborate effectively with stakeholders, management, and other agencies.
• Develop computational algorithms and statistical methods to uncover patterns in large data volumes.
• Write code in a variety of programming languages.
• Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to support operations and decision-making.
• *Qualifications:**
• *Education:**
• Bachelor's or higher degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Data Science from an accredited institution.
• *or* 24 semester hours in one of the specified majors, combined with additional education and relevant experience.
• *Experience:**
• One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal Service, demonstrating proficiency in the responsibilities listed above. This includes:

* Utilizing advanced analytical techniques for data modeling and reporting. * Developing automated solutions for data analysis. * Performing data cleaning, manipulation, and metric generation. * Creating and presenting complex data visualizations. * Translating technical information for diverse audiences. * Developing computational algorithms and statistical methods. * Coding in various languages and providing data-driven recommendations.
