Criminal Investigator (Special Agent)

We are seeking a highly experienced Criminal Investigator (GS-15) to lead and manage complex federal criminal investigations. This role requires extensive expertise in various investigative areas and strong leadership capabilities.

• *Key Responsibilities:**
• Plan, conduct, and manage complex federal criminal investigations.
• Lead investigations across areas such as fraud, bribery, public corruption, national security offenses, cyber-crimes, money laundering, violent crimes, and sexual assault.
• Testify effectively in federal and local courts, and before grand juries.
• Consult with attorneys and trial teams, providing investigative advice, ensuring legal compliance, and recommending strategies.
• Evaluate, identify, and gather critical information and evidence using advanced investigative techniques.
• Plan and schedule work for subordinate Criminal Investigators, setting priorities and managing completion.
• Provide oversight and supervision to investigative teams, including first-line supervisory functions.
• Recognize, seize, and meticulously preserve evidence.
• Cultivate and manage cooperating witnesses/defendants and other sources to identify members of criminal organizations.
• *Requirements:**
• One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level in federal service, demonstrating the ability to successfully perform the duties outlined above. This experience must be directly related to planning, conducting, and managing complex federal criminal investigations.
