Job Description
Summary
Seeking a Federal Contracting Specialist to manage complex contracts, apply procurement law, and ensure compliance from pre-award to closeout.
- *Federal Contracting Specialist (NH-03)**
- *Core Responsibilities:**
- Manage complex contract actions from pre-award to post-award, applying federal contracting laws, policies, and diverse contract types.
- Independently plan and execute procurement activities, including developing new procedures and adapting guidelines to unique situations.
- Conduct comprehensive market research, price/cost analysis, and risk assessment/mitigation.
- Negotiate, administer, and terminate contracts, making legally sound and objective decisions.
- Communicate complex technical information clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- *Qualifications:**
- *Education:**
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- *Note:* Certain long-term DoD/military contracting experience (pre-Oct 2000) may substitute for the degree as per federal regulations.
- *Experience:**
- Minimum one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-11 federal grade level (or equivalent), focused on:
- *Credit given for relevant part-time, unpaid, or volunteer experience.*
