Job Description

Summary

Seeking a Federal Contracting Specialist to manage complex contracts, apply procurement law, and ensure compliance from pre-award to closeout.

  • *Federal Contracting Specialist (NH-03)**
This role involves independently managing the full lifecycle of complex federal contracts, ensuring compliance with procurement laws and regulations.

  • *Core Responsibilities:**
  • Manage complex contract actions from pre-award to post-award, applying federal contracting laws, policies, and diverse contract types.
  • Independently plan and execute procurement activities, including developing new procedures and adapting guidelines to unique situations.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research, price/cost analysis, and risk assessment/mitigation.
  • Negotiate, administer, and terminate contracts, making legally sound and objective decisions.
  • Communicate complex technical information clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • *Qualifications:**
  • *Education:**
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • *Note:* Certain long-term DoD/military contracting experience (pre-Oct 2000) may substitute for the degree as per federal regulations.
  • *Experience:**
  • Minimum one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-11 federal grade level (or equivalent), focused on:
* Resolving pre-award and post-award procurement challenges. * Independent planning and execution of contract work. * Developing new procurement guidelines or procedures. * Interpreting and adapting procurement procedures to specific situations. * Exercising sound judgment in contract decision-making.
  • *Credit given for relevant part-time, unpaid, or volunteer experience.*
