Join our team as a Federal Contract Specialist, responsible for managing the full lifecycle of contracts within a federal environment. This role requires expertise in acquisition regulations, negotiation, and contract administration, ensuring compliance and best value.
- *Basic Requirements:**
- **Education:** Bachelor's degree (or higher) from an accredited institution.
- **or Exemption:** Current DoD civilian employee (GS-1102 or contracting role above simplified acquisition threshold) or current military member (similar occupational specialty) with relevant experience *on or before September 30, 2000*.
- *Specialized Experience & Education (Choose ONE of the following levels):**
- *GS-09 Level:**
- **Experience:** One year of specialized experience evaluating quotes/proposals, reviewing acquisition packages with CORs, applying acquisition regulations, selecting best value, and administering contracts.
- **or Education:** Master's or equivalent graduate degree, or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education (e.g., in accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, management).
- *GS-11 Level:**
- **Experience:** One year of specialized experience evaluating quotes/proposals, negotiating contract price, terms, and conditions, managing source selection teams, and applying acquisition regulations.
- **or Education:** Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education (e.g., in accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, management).
- *GS-12 Level:**
- **Experience:** One year of specialized experience creating, negotiating, awarding, and/or administering contracts, leading source selection teams, providing procurement planning, and ensuring compliance with acquisition regulations.
- **Note:** For the GS-12 level, *experience cannot be substituted with education*.
- *Additional Information:**
- Experience includes both paid and unpaid work (e.g., volunteer programs).
- Applicants must meet specific federal employment authority categories and time-in-grade requirements if currently a federal employee.
