Job Description
Summary
Lead senior-level infrastructure engineering, design, and system development projects, applying advanced computer science and statistical knowledge.
Seeking a highly skilled Computer Scientist/Engineer (GS-15 equivalent) to lead complex infrastructure engineering and system development projects. Federal experience is not required; relevant experience from public, private, or volunteer sectors is accepted.
- *Key Responsibilities & Experience:**
- Apply theoretical foundations of computer science, including system architecture, software organization, and information structures.
- Possess specialized knowledge of system design characteristics, limitations, and applications, alongside relevant mathematical and statistical sciences.
- Demonstrate professional competence in:
- Provide professional and technical leadership in the conceptual design, formulation, and development of major prototype/developmental systems, or extensive modifications and upgrades to existing systems, adapting to evolving technology and requirements.
- *Required Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a bachelor's with 30 semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science.
- At least 15 of these 30 semester hours must include statistics and mathematics, with differential and integral calculus.
- One year of specialized experience at a level equivalent to the GS-14 grade level (federal or non-federal equivalent).
