Computer Science Development Programs - Entry Level (Maryland)

• *Overview:**

We are seeking talented individuals for Cryptologic Computer Scientist, Cryptanalytic Computer Scientist, and Capabilities Development Specialist roles. These positions involve applying advanced technical expertise in computer science, mathematics, and engineering to critical national security challenges.

• *Key Responsibilities:**
• Conduct computer systems research, analysis, and simulation/model development.
• Design, develop, and implement software and hardware systems.
• Perform algorithm analysis, design, and computational science.
• Engage in reverse engineering, vulnerability analysis, penetration testing, and computer forensics.
• Apply cryptanalysis techniques and support full system lifecycle engineering.
• *Minimum Qualifications:**
• *Education:**
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Mathematics (including Applied Math), or a related engineering/mathematics field.
• **For related fields (e.g., IT, Information Systems, Cybersecurity):** Must include concentrations in foundational computer science areas such as algorithms, computer architecture, programming, data structures, logic & computation, and advanced mathematics.
• An Associate's degree with 2 years of directly relevant experience may be considered.
• *Experience:**
• **Entry-Level:** Bachelor's degree with no prior experience.
• Relevant experience in one or more of the following areas:

* Computer systems research, simulation/model development, software design/programming. * Computational science, algorithm analysis, and reverse engineering. * Designing/developing computer or information systems (hardware/software). * Cryptanalysis, vulnerability analysis, penetration testing, computer forensics. * Full lifecycle engineering (requirements analysis to maintenance).

• Military training (e.g., 24-week Joint Cyber Analysis Course - JCAC) counts as 6 months of relevant experience.
