Summary

Seeking a senior Professional Engineer or Computer Scientist to lead and manage cloud-focused systems development projects.

## Senior Professional Engineer / Computer Scientist (GG-15)

We are seeking a highly experienced professional for a GG-15 level position, which can be filled as either a Professional Engineer (GG-854/855 Series) or a Computer Scientist (GG-1550 Series). This senior role focuses on leading complex projects, managing development life cycles, and implementing cutting-edge cloud solutions.

### Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage project teams through the entire software and systems development life cycle, from requirements analysis to fielding.
  • Oversee project planning, execution, and acquisition processes.
  • Design, develop, test, and implement advanced software and system solutions, with a strong emphasis on cloud technologies.
  • Apply expert-level engineering or computer science principles to solve challenging technical problems.
### Qualifications (GG-15 Level):

  • *Experience:**
  • Minimum one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GG-14 level in the Federal service (or comparable in the private sector).
  • Demonstrated expertise in team leadership, project planning, and acquisition processes.
  • Proficiency across the software and systems development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, testing, implementation, and fielding of solutions.
  • Significant experience specifically with cloud solutions is required.
  • *Education:**
  • **For Professional Engineering (GG-854/855):**
* A professional engineering degree from an ABET-accredited curriculum. or * A degree including differential and integral calculus and advanced courses in at least five engineering science areas (e.g., statics, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, electrical fields/circuits). or * A combination of education and experience demonstrating a thorough knowledge of professional engineering principles (e.g., professional registration, written test, specific academic courses, or verified professional engineering duties).
  • **For Computer Science (GG-1550):**
* A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. or * A Bachelor's degree with 30 semester hours in mathematics, statistics, and computer science, including at least 15 semester hours in mathematics/statistics (with differential and integral calculus).
  • All academic degrees and coursework must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions.
  • *Competencies:**
  • Must clearly demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work at a senior level.
