Computer Engineer/Electronics Engineer/Computer Science

This GG-15 level role seeks a highly skilled professional in either Professional Engineering or Computer Science to lead advanced software and IT initiatives.

• *Key Responsibilities & Experience:**
• Develop, implement, and manage complex software development, acquisition, licensing, and maintenance.
• Oversee database management, data management, software architecture, and IT architecture.
• Possess a minimum of one year of specialized experience at the GG-14 Federal service level (or equivalent).

• *Educational Requirements:**
• **For Professional Engineering (GG-854/855):**

* An ABET-accredited professional engineering degree. * or a degree including differential and integral calculus, plus advanced courses in five of seven specified engineering science/physics areas (e.g., statics, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, electrical fields, materials). * or a combination of college-level education, training, and technical experience demonstrating thorough knowledge of physical/mathematical sciences underlying engineering, with practical understanding of engineering sciences/techniques. Adequacy must be verified via professional registration, written test, specified academic courses, or related curriculum with supervisor employment verification.

• **For Computer Science (GG-1550):**

* A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. * or a Bachelor's degree with 30 semester hours in mathematics, statistics, and computer science combined, including at least 15 semester hours with differential and integral calculus.

• All academic degrees and coursework must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions.
