Summary

Manage social media strategy, content, and campaigns for USCRI to enhance visibility and audience engagement.

Join the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI), a respected non-profit, as a Communications Specialist, Social Media. You will be instrumental in expanding our organization's visibility and enhancing its reputation through effective social media strategies, creative storytelling, and compelling content.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Manage and execute social media campaigns across platforms (X, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Bluesky), ensuring consistent brand tone and messaging.
  • Develop and implement social media strategies, define key performance indicators (KPIs), and analyze performance to inform future efforts.
  • Proactively manage the organization's social media content calendar.
  • Create engaging content including blogs, videos, graphics, and updates, collaborating with communications and policy teams.
  • Provide guidance to staff contributing to social media content and coordinate with external partners.
  • Develop and optimize paid social media campaigns, including budget oversight.
  • Conduct market research, analyze trends, and stay updated on emerging social media technologies.
  • *Qualifications:**
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in social media marketing, demonstrating increased audience engagement.
  • Proficiency with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social).
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with social media analytics tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Graphic design skills with the ability to follow brand guidelines.
  • Video editing experience for social media.
  • Self-starter with proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience with WordPress is a plus.
  • Experience in a nonprofit organization or a passion for USCRI's mission is preferred.
  • Knowledge of global humanitarian, refugee, and immigration issues is a plus.
