Summary
Manage social media strategy, content, and campaigns for USCRI to enhance visibility and audience engagement.
Join the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI), a respected non-profit, as a Communications Specialist, Social Media. You will be instrumental in expanding our organization's visibility and enhancing its reputation through effective social media strategies, creative storytelling, and compelling content.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Manage and execute social media campaigns across platforms (X, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Bluesky), ensuring consistent brand tone and messaging.
- Develop and implement social media strategies, define key performance indicators (KPIs), and analyze performance to inform future efforts.
- Proactively manage the organization's social media content calendar.
- Create engaging content including blogs, videos, graphics, and updates, collaborating with communications and policy teams.
- Provide guidance to staff contributing to social media content and coordinate with external partners.
- Develop and optimize paid social media campaigns, including budget oversight.
- Conduct market research, analyze trends, and stay updated on emerging social media technologies.
- *Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 2+ years of experience in social media marketing, demonstrating increased audience engagement.
- Proficiency with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social).
- Strong analytical skills and experience with social media analytics tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Graphic design skills with the ability to follow brand guidelines.
- Video editing experience for social media.
- Self-starter with proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience with WordPress is a plus.
- Experience in a nonprofit organization or a passion for USCRI's mission is preferred.
- Knowledge of global humanitarian, refugee, and immigration issues is a plus.
