This role supports essential U.S. Senate services, ensuring timely and impactful communications. It requires availability during government shutdowns, holidays, weekends, and extended hours.

• *Responsibilities:**
• Monitor organizational developments to inform communications.
• Conduct research and develop clear, concise communication materials.
• Collaborate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders.
• *Required Qualifications:**
• 3-4 years of relevant communications experience (or Master's with 2-3 years).
• Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to translate complex information for diverse audiences.
• Proficiency in professional communication principles, including audience engagement.
• Strong time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
• *Desired Skills & Experience:**
• Proven content creation and editing for publications, websites, and portals.
• Strong project management abilities.
• Ability to present information clearly and efficiently.
• Flexibility to prioritize and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• 2+ years of experience within the U.S. Senate or knowledge of SAA programs.
• *Work Environment:**
• Primarily sedentary, computer-based.
• Requires availability during government shutdowns, inclement weather, holidays, weekends, and late nights.
• Position is 'excepted' during government furloughs.
