Job Description
Summary
Manage communications and outreach strategies to promote MEI's policy work and enhance engagement within the US policymaking community.
- *About the Role:**
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Strengthen engagement and identify opportunities within Washington’s policy networks.
- Develop and produce compelling outreach materials, including print and web content.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with foreign embassies, NGOs, and partner organizations.
- Collaborate with the Communications team to promote policy-focused content and flagship events.
- Oversee the end-to-end development and production of MEI’s Annual Report.
- Ensure cohesive themes and consistent messaging across all events and initiatives.
- Maintain targeted distribution lists and research potential partnership opportunities.
- Coordinate messaging and outreach efforts for public-facing programs.
- Track and analyze engagement metrics, produce quarterly impact reports, and support A/B testing initiatives.
- Provide comprehensive support for overall communications, outreach, and events initiatives.
- *Qualifications:**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in international affairs, political science, Middle East studies, or a related field.
- 4-5 years of professional experience, specifically with Capitol Hill, the Executive Branch, or US policy-oriented NGOs.
- Strong, demonstrated knowledge of the US policy process.
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities with strong attention to detail.
- Proven interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Willingness to work in-person with flexibility for irregular hours, including evenings and occasional weekends.
- **Preferred:** Proficiency in Salesforce and knowledge of the Middle East.
