Leidos is seeking a skilled Communications and Outreach Manager to lead strategic communications for emerging transportation technologies. This role involves driving content creation, team management, and client collaboration for cutting-edge intelligent transportation systems and automated vehicle technologies, supporting the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) in McLean, VA.

• *Key Responsibilities:**
• Lead communications strategy and planning for national deployment of transportation technologies.
• Manage, mentor, and coach a team of marketing and communications professionals.
• Develop branding and recognition strategies to promote industry adoption.
• Create metrics-based materials to quantify technology benefits and persuade stakeholders.
• Oversee comprehensive communications deliverables (presentations, web content, social media, reports, videos).
• Manage multiple communications projects simultaneously, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
• Build strategic partnerships to enhance outreach efforts.
• Lead conference strategy, booth management, and logistics.
• Support business development through proposals, client relationship development, and project execution.
• *Required Qualifications:**
• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years, or Master's with 6+ years, of professional experience in communications and outreach.
• Proven expertise in staff development and project management across diverse activities and deliverables.
• Demonstrated success in collaborating with technical teams, executives, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Exceptional communication skills, with ability to influence internal and external audiences.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• *Desired Skills:**
• Experience working with federal, state, or local government clients.
• Understanding of the transportation industry, automated vehicle technologies, or intelligent transportation systems.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
• Expertise in branding, audience engagement, and Section 508 compliance for accessible content.
• *Location:** Full-time at the customer site in McLean, VA, with occasional U.S. travel for conferences and project support.
• *Anticipated Salary Range:** $120,000 - $155,000
