Communications Analyst

## About the Role Join the USPS OIG Communications team as a Communications Analyst, primarily focusing on creating engaging web and social media content. You will play a vital role in translating complex government work into clear, strategic messages for a broad audience, including internal employees, Congress, USPS executives, and industry stakeholders.

## Key Responsibilities

• Develop, write, and edit compelling digital content for the external website and social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, X, LinkedIn).
• Manage and update the external organizational website, ensuring timely content publication.
• Monitor online analytics and performance metrics; conduct keyword research and apply SEO best practices.
• Distribute important announcements and OIG work updates via email and social media.
• Conduct thorough research and gather information to inform content creation.
• Create engaging PowerPoint presentations and other visual storytelling elements.

## Qualifications

• **Education:** Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a similar field.
• **or** Six (6) years of professional experience as a content creator.
• **Experience:** Minimum of four (4) years of professional experience as a content creator, specifically writing and editing web and social media content within an organization of 200+ employees.
• **Technical Skills:** Proven experience uploading content to organizational web pages and major social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, X, LinkedIn).
• **Soft Skills:** Strong writing and editing abilities, exceptional attention to detail, and capability to work both independently and collaboratively.

## Compensation & Location

• **Salary:** $84,601 - $131,826 per year
