Clinical Pharmacist- Formulary Management/Prior Authorization Drug Request

VHA is seeking a dedicated Clinical Pharmacist (GS-12) to provide comprehensive pharmacy services and optimize patient drug therapy outcomes. This role is open to qualified U.S. citizens, including current, past, and upcoming VHA Health Professions Trainees (HPTs) who meet all requirements.

• *Key Responsibilities:**
• Deliver professional pharmacy practice and services.
• Communicate effectively with both patients and healthcare staff.
• Ensure compliance with all laws, regulations, and accreditation standards related to drug distribution and security.
• Monitor and assess drug therapy outcomes, including physical assessment and interpretation of laboratory and diagnostic parameters.
• *Qualifications:**
• **Citizenship:** Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• **Language:** Proficient in spoken and written English.
• **Education:** Graduate of an ACPE-accredited College or School of Pharmacy with a baccalaureate degree (BS Pharmacy) and/or a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree. Graduates of foreign pharmacy programs require FPGEC Certification.
• **Licensure:** Possess a full, current, and unrestricted license to practice pharmacy in a U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia. Strict adherence to VA policy regarding revoked or surrendered licenses applies.
• **Experience (for GS-12):** One year of experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or completion of an ACPE-accredited Pharm.D. program.
• *Physical Requirements:**
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods, lift/carry pharmaceutical supplies, and perform bending/stooping.
