## Clinical Pharmacist (GS-11/GS-12)

Join our team as a Clinical Pharmacist, playing a critical role in patient care by managing drug therapies and ensuring medication safety. This position offers an opportunity to apply comprehensive pharmaceutical knowledge in a dynamic healthcare setting.

### Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver professional pharmacy practice, adhering to all ethical, legal, and regulatory standards.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals regarding medication information and therapy plans.
  • Ensure strict compliance with laws, regulations, and accreditation standards related to drug distribution, control, and pharmacy security.
  • Monitor and assess patient outcomes from drug therapies, utilizing physical assessments and interpreting laboratory and other diagnostic parameters.
### Qualifications
  • **U.S. Citizenship:** Required.
  • **Education:** Graduate of an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited College or School of Pharmacy with a BS Pharmacy and/or a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree. Graduates of foreign pharmacy degree programs must provide Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Examination Commission (FPGEC) Certification.
  • **Licensure:** Possess a current, full, and unrestricted license to practice pharmacy in a U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia. Active registration must be maintained.
  • **English Language Proficiency:** Proficient in spoken and written English.
  • **Experience (for GS-12 Clinical Pharmacist):** In addition to basic requirements, candidates must meet one of the following:
* One year of experience equivalent to the GS-11 level, or * Completion of an ACPE-accredited Pharm.D. program.
  • **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (GS-12):** Demonstrated knowledge of professional pharmacy practice, strong oral and written communication, familiarity with drug laws/regulations, and skill in monitoring drug therapies and interpreting diagnostic data.
  • *Note on Licensure:** Non-licensed graduates who meet other eligibility requirements may be considered for a temporary appointment as a Graduate Pharmacist (up to 2 years, supervised). However, a full license is mandatory for all positions at or above the GS-11 grade level.
### Physical Requirements Typical for a pharmacist role; a pre-placement examination will be required.
