Senior Federal leader to drive policy, enhance government efficiency, manage staff, and influence strategic workforce decisions.

- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop and implement federal personnel management guidance and statutorily required policies.
- Lead and coordinate interagency initiatives concerning federal operational issues and workforce policy.
- Formulate legislative, regulatory, and policy proposals to advance strategic workforce goals and improve government management.
- Provide expert recommendations that serve as a basis for Presidential decisions on critical matters.
- Manage and lead a professional staff, ensuring timely, effective, and high-quality results.
- *Required Technical Qualifications (Demonstrated Experience):**
- Facilitating the issuance of personnel management guidance and policy (e.g., President's Alternative Pay Plan).
- Directing initiatives requiring interagency coordination on federal operational or workforce policy issues.
- Senior-level experience in developing legislative/regulatory proposals and policies for strategic federal workforce goals.
- Proven ability to manage and lead professional staff to achieve high-quality outcomes.
- *Executive Core Qualifications (ECQs) - *Required for New Senior Executive Service (SES) Entrants***:
- **Commitment to Rule of Law and American Founding Principles:** Uphold the Constitution and serve the American people.
- **Driving Efficiency:** Strategically manage resources, budget effectively, cut wasteful spending, and pursue process/technological upgrades.
- **Merit and Competence:** Demonstrate the ability to produce exceptional quality work consistently.
- **Leading People:** Inspire and guide teams, foster a high-performance culture, and lead through change with accountability.
- **Achieving Results:** Deliver individual and organizational outcomes aligned with strategic goals.
- Note: If you are a current SES member, an OPM-certified SES Candidate Development Program (SESCDP) graduate, or have SES reinstatement eligibility, you are exempt from demonstrating ECQs but must provide proof (e.g., SF-50, QRB certification).*
