Job Description
Summary
Manage federal budget processes, interpret policies, prepare reports, and advise staff using financial systems.
Join our team as a Budget Specialist, responsible for managing financial processes and providing expert budget guidance.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Interpret and apply complex budgetary policies and regulations.
- Review budget submissions and prepare essential financial documents.
- Develop comprehensive budget reports, including worksheets, graphs, and charts.
- Operate automated financial systems, such as General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS).
- Offer expert advice and guidance to staff on all budget-related matters.
- *Qualifications:**
- **US Citizenship required.**
- **Experience:** At least one year of specialized experience that includes interpreting budgetary policies, reviewing submissions, preparing budget documents and reports, utilizing automated financial systems (e.g., GFEBS), and advising on budget issues.
- **Education:** A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
- **Combination:** A computed combination of relevant specialized experience and graduate education.
