## Federal Budget Analyst (GS-12/13)

Join our team as a Federal Budget Analyst, playing a critical role in managing and optimizing budgetary processes and financial operations. This position is open for both GS-12 and GS-13 levels, requiring demonstrated specialized experience in federal budgeting.

### Key Responsibilities & Requirements:

  • *For GS-12 Level (requires 1 year specialized experience equivalent to GS-11):**
  • Provide technical and administrative assistance for budget processes and practices.
  • Analyze internal controls to ensure compliance with federal statutes and regulations.
  • Monitor funding agreements for program execution, billing, and reconciliation.
  • Recommend and implement new or amended budgetary policies and procedures.
  • *For GS-13 Level (requires 1 year specialized experience equivalent to GS-12):**
  • Oversee obligation of funds, processes, and internal controls to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Review financial reports, offering expert advice and guidance on funding program and budget improvements.
  • Develop and recommend new or amended budgetary policies and procedures.
  • Provide comprehensive budgetary assistance for the financial aspects of various agreements (e.g., security, inter-agency).
  • Maintain oversight of agency costs for professional and technical training courses provided to foreign countries.
  • *General Requirements:**
  • Specialized experience is mandatory; education cannot be substituted for experience at these grade levels.
  • Qualifying experience includes both paid and unpaid work, such as volunteer service (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps).
