Join our team as a Broadcast Production Specialist, responsible for the technical execution and direction of live and recorded audio/video productions, including graphic design and operational support within a government environment.

• *Key Responsibilities:**
• Serve as Director and/or Technical Director for diverse productions.
• Operate and maintain a variety of audio/video broadcast and recording equipment.
• Set up video teleconferencing software for live television.
• Design and develop graphics for various platforms, ensuring visual consistency.
• Create and maintain a style guide adhering to brand guidelines.
• Coordinate production requirements, schedules, and meet deadlines.
• Participate in Continuity of Operations (COOP) planning and exercises.
• Stay updated with industry trends, video editing techniques, and software.
• *Required Qualifications:**
• **Experience:** 1-3 years with audio/video broadcast and recording equipment or graphic design experience.
• **Skills & Knowledge:**

* Proficiency in broadcast equipment operation and maintenance. * Knowledge of pre- and post-production techniques for live or recorded TV. * Proficiency in graphic design and motion graphic software (e.g., character generators). * Ability to set up and operate various audio/video production equipment. * Strong ability to coordinate productions and communicate effectively. * Understanding of broadcast/recording studio safety precautions.

• *Work Environment & Expectations:**
• Requires moderate physical activity (lifting less than 50 pounds).
• On-site presence is required, supporting the U.S. Senate when in session.
• Must be available to work during government shutdowns, inclement weather, holidays, and extended hours (late night, overnight, weekend sessions).
• This position is considered 'excepted' during government furloughs.
• Ability to report on-site within 2 hours in an emergency.
