Avionics Specialist

We are seeking a highly experienced Aviation Program Specialist (GS-13 equivalent) to manage critical aviation programs within a federal environment. This role requires extensive expertise in program administration, policy, contract management, and advanced technical systems.

• *Key Responsibilities:**
• **Aviation Program Administration:** Oversee budget formulation, execution, and resource defense for aviation programs.
• **Policy & Compliance:** Develop, analyze, and ensure compliance with DoD, DHS, FAA, and agency aviation directives.
• **Contract Management:** Perform Contract Officer's Representative (COR) duties for avionics and mission system acquisitions and integration projects.
• **Technical Expertise:** Apply advanced knowledge of avionics, communications, Aviation Operational Technology (OT), information systems, cybersecurity, configuration management, and certification processes.
• **C5ISR System Oversight:** Manage and plan life-cycle sustainment for aviation C5ISR systems.
• *Required Qualifications:**
• Minimum of one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 federal grade level, directly related to the responsibilities listed above.
• Proven ability in aviation program administration, policy development, contract management, and advanced technical system oversight.
• Expertise in cybersecurity, configuration management, and certification for aviation systems.
• *Note:** Education cannot substitute for experience at this level. All qualifying experience, including volunteer work, will be considered. Disclosure of current or former political appointee status is required.
