## Aviation Safety Inspector (Rotorcraft-Helicopter)
Join our team as an Aviation Safety Inspector specializing in Rotorcraft-Helicopter operations. You will leverage your expertise in aviation regulations to conduct inspections, investigations, and enforcement activities, contributing to overall aviation safety and policy development.
### Key Responsibilities:
- Perform inspections, investigations, and enforcement related to Rotorcraft-Helicopter operations.
- Apply advanced knowledge of aviation laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Participate in the certification and surveillance of complex aviation operations.
- Contribute to the development of agency-wide policies, procedures, and strategies.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid State Driver's License.
- Fluency in English.
- No chemical dependencies or drug abuse interfering with job performance.
- Maximum of two Federal aviation regulation violations within the last five years.
- Physically able to perform duties safely, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Good distant vision (corrective lenses permitted) and ability to read typewritten characters.
- Ability to hear conversational voice (hearing aids permitted).
- No physical condition interfering with flying as a passenger in various aircraft.
- For positions requiring aircraft operation: Possess a valid FAA Second-Class Medical Certificate and pass recurrent medical examinations.
- **Pilot Certificate:** Airline Transport Pilot (Rotorcraft-Helicopter) or Commercial Pilot (Rotorcraft-Helicopter) with Instrument-Helicopter rating.
- **Flight Instructor Certificate:** Valid, unexpired Flight Instructor Certificate with Rotorcraft-Helicopter and Instrument Helicopter ratings.
- **Flight Hours:**
- **Accident Record:** Not more than two flying accidents involving pilot error in the last five years.
- One year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-I or FG/GS-13, demonstrating particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties successfully. This includes:
