## Aviation Safety Inspector (Rotorcraft-Helicopter)
We are seeking a highly skilled Aviation Safety Inspector specializing in Rotorcraft-Helicopter operations. This role involves critical safety oversight, regulatory compliance, and complex problem-solving within the aviation sector.
### Key Responsibilities & Experience:
- Apply mastery of aviation laws and regulations to conduct inspection, investigation, enforcement, and compliance activities.
- Perform expert technical functions for certification of CFR Part 27 and 29 Rotorcraft.
- Support helicopter-specific operations under CFR Parts 135, 61, 141, 133, 136, 137, including restricted category operations.
- Develop and implement technologically advanced and innovative solutions to complex aviation safety challenges.
- Requires one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-I, FG/GS-13 grade levels, demonstrating required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid State driver's license.
- Fluency in English.
- No chemical dependencies or drug abuse affecting job performance.
- Maximum two Federal aviation regulation violations in the last 5 years.
- Physically capable of performing duties safely and efficiently.
- Good distant vision and ability to read printed materials (corrective lenses permitted).
- Ability to hear conversational voice (hearing aids permitted).
- No physical conditions that pose a hazard or interfere with flying as a passenger.

### Rotorcraft-Helicopter Specific Qualifications:
- Hold an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate (Rotorcraft-Helicopter) or Commercial Pilot Certificate (Rotorcraft-Helicopter + Instrument-Helicopter).
- Possess a valid, unexpired Flight Instructor Certificate (Rotorcraft-Helicopter + Instrument-Helicopter).
- Minimum 1,500 total flight hours (PIC or SIC), including 1,000+ hours in helicopters.
- Minimum 200 hours of flight instruction given in helicopters.
- Minimum 100 flight hours in helicopters (PIC/SIC) or Level D simulator (helicopter) within the last five years.
- No more than two pilot error flying accidents in the last five years.
