Summary
Ensure general aviation safety through inspection, certification, and regulatory enforcement, requiring extensive pilot experience.
We are seeking a highly qualified Aviation Safety Inspector (Operations) with a focus on general aviation. This role involves critical oversight, ensuring compliance and promoting safety through rigorous inspection, certification, and surveillance activities.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Conduct extensive certification, inspection, and surveillance activities within General Aviation Operations.
- Apply aviation laws and regulations to inspection, investigation, enforcement, and compliance tasks.
- *Qualifications:**
- *General Requirements:**
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid State driver's license.
- Fluency in the English language.
- No more than two separate incidents involving Federal Aviation Regulation (FAR) violations in the last five years.
- No chemical dependencies or drug abuse that could interfere with job performance.
- *Medical Requirements:**
- Physically able to perform the duties of the position safely and efficiently (with or without reasonable accommodation).
- Good distant vision in each eye and ability to read typewritten characters without strain (glasses/contact lenses permitted).
- Ability to hear conversational voice (hearing aid permitted).
- No physical condition that would pose a hazard to self or others, or interfere with flying as a passenger.
