## Aviation Safety Inspector (Air Carrier or General Aviation)
We are seeking highly qualified Aviation Safety Inspectors to ensure compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) across either air carrier or general aviation operations. This role involves critical oversight, investigation, and policy development to maintain the highest safety standards in aviation.
### Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections, investigations, and enforcement activities related to aviation safety.
- Apply expert knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) to ensure compliance.
- Develop and implement new techniques, processes, and approaches to enhance safety.
- Contribute to agency-wide policies, procedures, and strategies.
- Provide expert technical advice and guidance to management and senior personnel.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid State driver's license and fluency in English.
- No more than two FAA regulation violations or pilot-error flying accidents in the last five years.
- No chemical dependencies or drug abuse that could interfere with job performance.
- Physically able to perform duties, including good distant vision and conversational hearing (with or without aids).
- No physical conditions posing a hazard or interfering with flying as a passenger.
#### Air Carrier (Flight Oversight) Track:
- 1,500+ total flight hours.
- Valid Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.
- 1+ year pilot experience in multi-engine aircraft exceeding 12,500 lbs maximum certificated takeoff weight.
- 3+ years experience with an air carrier, commercial operator, air agency, or aircraft operating organization, including 1+ year with multi-engine aircraft over 12,500 lbs.
- 1,500+ total flight hours.
- Valid Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate or Commercial Pilot Certificate with Instrument Airplane Rating.
- Valid or expired Flight Instructor Certificate with aircraft category rating or equivalent instructor experience in an approved program (e.g., CFR Part 121, 135, 141, 142), with 200+ hours of flight instruction (aircraft/simulator).
- Possession of airplane category and single/multi-engine land (airplane) ratings.
- 3+ years experience with an air carrier, commercial operator, air agency, or aircraft operating organization.
- Must possess a valid second-class medical certificate per FAA regulations and pass recurrent medical examinations.
- For other positions, documentation from a board-certified physician certifying minimal medical requirements is needed, or an individualized assessment if requirements are not met.
