Summary

Ensure air carrier safety and compliance as an Aviation Safety Inspector, requiring extensive pilot experience and ATP certification.

Join our team as an Aviation Safety Inspector (Flight Oversight) to ensure the highest standards of safety and regulatory compliance within complex aviation organizations.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Monitor and issue certificates to large, complex aviation organizations.
  • Ensure adherence to Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
  • *Essential Qualifications:**
  • *General Requirements:**
  • Valid State driver's license.
  • Fluency in English.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • No more than two FAR violations in the last 5 years.
  • No chemical dependencies or drug abuse interfering with job performance.
  • *Medical Requirements:**
  • Physically able to perform duties safely.
  • Good distant vision and ability to read (with or without corrective lenses).
  • Ability to hear conversational voice (with or without hearing aids).
  • No physical conditions posing a hazard or interfering with flying as a passenger.
  • *Note: A second-class medical certificate is not required for this specific Flight Oversight role.*
  • *Specialized Experience (Equivalent to GS-12):**
  • One year of experience monitoring and issuing certificates to large, complex aviation organizations.
  • *Aviation Safety Inspector (Flight Oversight) Specifics:**
  • Minimum 1,500 total flight hours.
  • Valid Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.
  • At least one year of pilot experience in multi-engine aircraft with a maximum certificated takeoff weight over 12,500 pounds.
  • Three years of experience working with an air carrier, commercial operator, or air agency certificate holder. At least one year of this experience must involve operating multi-engine aircraft over 12,500 pounds maximum takeoff weight.
  • Not more than two pilot-error flying accidents in the last five years.
