Auditor

Join our team as an Auditor, contributing to critical audit processes and ensuring agency compliance. We are looking for professionals at the GS-11 and GS-12 levels to support and coordinate external audits.

• *Responsibilities (GS-11 & GS-12):**
• Coordinate and assist with external audit logistics and documentation, ensuring timely responses to auditor requests.
• Review, organize, and analyze agency documentation and audit findings to develop accurate audit packages and responses.
• Monitor, track, and report on the status of audit recommendations, identifying outstanding actions and progress.
• Provide procedural and technical guidance to agency offices for preparing audit responses and implementing corrective actions.
• Escalate complex issues to senior auditors as needed.
• *Basic Qualifications:**
• **Option 1:** Bachelor's degree or higher in Auditing, Business Administration, Finance, Public Administration, or Accounting.
• **Option 2:** Four years of performance auditing experience or a blend of education, training, and experience providing professional auditing knowledge, combined with one of the following:

* Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification. * A degree including at least 15 semester hours in auditing or accounting.

• *Specialized Experience:**
• **For GS-11:** One year of experience (equivalent to GS-09) assisting with audit logistics, reviewing documentation, monitoring recommendations, and supporting audit response preparation.
• **For GS-12:** One year of experience (equivalent to GS-11) coordinating audit logistics, analyzing documentation, tracking/reporting recommendations, and providing technical guidance.
• *Note on Experience:**
• Paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work, is credited. Full-time work is 35-40 hours/week; part-time is credited proportionally. Please clearly detail duties and hours worked for all relevant experience.
