Summary
Provide expert legal counsel as Senior Counsel, advising on labor, employment, and immigration law, and policy for organizational leadership.
- *Attorney Advisor (Senior Counsel to the Director)**
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide expert legal advice on the interpretation of laws, proposed legislation, policies, and regulations directly to senior management and organizational leaders.
- Offer counsel and advice on labor and employment law matters.
- Analyze the potential impact of proposed or existing policies on the organization's programs.
- Negotiate legal policy questions related to immigration law and procedure with top administrative personnel.
- *Minimum Qualifications:**
- **Education:** Juris Doctor (J.D.) or Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree.
- **Licensure:** Active member of the bar, duly licensed and authorized to practice law in any U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia.
- **Experience (GS-15 Level):** Four (4) full years of post-J.D. or LL.B. professional legal experience, which must include:
- **Writing Sample:** Submission of a legal writing sample (first 10 pages) demonstrating legal authorship ability is required.
