• *Key Responsibilities:**
• **GS-13 Level (Requires 2+ years of legal experience):**

* Analyze complex legal questions and factual immigration issues to interpret and apply immigration law. * Draft intricate legal work products, including policies, procedures, and training, involving new or amended regulations and legislation. * Utilize strong oral and written communication and negotiation skills to convey legal assessments to adjudicators and subject matter experts. * Act effectively upon detailed instructions, demonstrating a commitment to organizational success.

• **GS-14 Level (Requires 3+ years of legal experience):**

* Evaluate and identify potential rulemaking and large-scale policy initiatives that align with agency objectives and operational needs. * Conduct comprehensive legal reviews of regulations, policy directives, and operational concepts to provide advice that ensures lawful mission execution. * Offer expert recommendations on a broad range of immigration law and policy questions affecting agency operations and external stakeholders.

• *Qualifications:**
• **Education:** LL.B. or J.D. degree required.
• **Licensure:** Active member of the bar, licensed to practice law in any U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia.
• **Experience:**

* **GS-13:** Minimum of two (2) years of professional legal experience, specifically in the areas outlined above. * **GS-14:** Minimum of three (3) years of professional legal experience, specifically in the areas outlined above.
