Summary
Seeking a US Citizen Attorney (GS-14) with 3+ years' experience for administrative, labor, and health law advocacy.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Attorney (GS-14) to provide expert legal counsel and representation in Administrative, Labor, and Health Law. This role requires a strong advocate capable of managing a complex caseload for US Citizens.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Identify and analyze complex legal issues within Administrative Law, Labor Law, and Health Law.
- Conduct thorough legal research to support casework and strategy.
- Represent clients effectively in administrative hearings.
- Provide compelling oral and written advocacy.
- Professionally and ethically manage a heavy caseload of clients with intricate legal needs.
- *Minimum Qualifications:**
- **Citizenship:** Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- **Education:** Successful completion of a Juris Doctor (JD) or Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from an American Bar Association (ABA) accredited law school.
- **Bar Membership:** Active member in good standing of the Bar of a U.S. state, territory, commonwealth, or the District of Columbia. Proof of active status, dated within three months of application, is required.
- **Experience:** A minimum of three (3) years of professional legal experience, acquired after admission to the bar, commensurate with the duties of this GS-14 position.
- **Federal Employees (Time-in-Grade):** If currently employed as a Federal Government attorney, must have completed 52 weeks at the next lower grade level within 30 days of the closing date, or previously served at the same or higher grade.
- **Veteran's Preference:** Eligibility for veteran's preference is considered a positive factor for attorney hiring; applicants must provide supporting documentation.
