Attorney-Adviser(International)

The **Attorney-Adviser (GS-15)** will provide expert legal counsel and represent the agency in complex government contract litigation. This role demands extensive experience in federal contract law and litigation procedures.

• *Key Responsibilities:**
• Lead and manage contract litigation before the Armed Services Board of Contract Appeals, Court of Federal Claims, and Government Accountability Office.
• Develop and execute comprehensive litigation strategies, including preparing pleadings, trial briefs, motions, and managing settlement negotiations.
• Handle discovery processes and prepare witnesses for hearings.
• Utilize Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) procedures effectively in various forums.
• Conduct advanced legal research, perform in-depth analysis of options, and provide robust risk assessments.
• Offer expert legal and business judgment, communicating complex issues clearly to senior officials and clients.
• *Required Qualifications:**
• First professional law degree (J.D. or L.L.B.).
• Active license and member in good standing with the bar of a U.S. State, Commonwealth, Territory, or the District of Columbia.
• Over 3 years of professional legal experience, demonstrating expertise commensurate with the GS-15 level, specifically in contract litigation.
• Proven experience in litigating cases before federal boards and courts (e.g., Armed Services Board of Contract Appeals, Court of Federal Claims, GAO).
• Demonstrated expertise in developing litigation strategies, preparing legal documents, and conducting discovery.
• Exceptional analytical, oral, and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective client relationships.
• *Security Clearance:**
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance is required.
