Summary

Seeking an experienced U.S. Citizen Attorney to provide legal counsel, research complex issues, and manage caseloads for the Department of Army.

## Attorney (GS-14 Equivalent)

Join the Department of Army as an Attorney, providing expert legal counsel and managing a dynamic caseload within a federal environment.

### Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and research highly technical and complex legal issues.
  • Provide comprehensive legal, technical, and policy guidance.
  • Ethically and professionally manage a substantial caseload with complex client needs.
### Required Qualifications:
  • **U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.**
  • **Education:** Possession of a first professional law degree (J.D. or LL.B.) from an American Bar Association (ABA) accredited law school.
  • **Bar Membership:** Active membership in good standing with the bar of the highest court of a U.S. State, Commonwealth, Territory, or the District of Columbia.
  • **Experience (GS-14):** A minimum of two (2) years of professional legal experience acquired *after* bar admission.
* *Substitution:* Graduation in the top 25% of your law school class or possession of an advanced law degree (e.g., LL.M.) may substitute for one year of the required experience.

  • Veterans' preference eligibility is considered a positive factor for attorney hiring in the excepted service.
