Summary
Digital Content Editor to manage content workflows, edit digital assets, and optimize strategy for the Aspen Institute.
## Digital Content Editor

### Key Responsibilities:
- Manage enterprise content workflows and ensure timely project delivery using agile tools (e.g., Airtable, Monday.com).
- Create, edit, and curate compelling content for the Institute’s website, social media, video, and email newsletters.
- Write and edit website copy, blog posts, and manage the team’s overarching content calendar.
- Develop and edit engaging social media graphics.
- Optimize web content for search engines (SEO) to enhance organic traffic.
- Ensure all digital content adheres to the Institute’s brand guidelines, organizational standards, and maintains accuracy.
- Collaborate with the Content Strategy Director and Digital Content Associate to integrate editorial efforts across all digital channels.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in email marketing and digital content strategy.
- Create engaging content for major social media platforms to drive audience interaction.
- Monitor and respond to user feedback and comments on digital content.
- Analyze newsletter, email, and web performance metrics to improve engagement and identify audience opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with internal communications teams and stakeholders across 40+ programs to ensure seamless content integration and alignment with editorial priorities.
- 4-6 years of experience in project management, digital content editing, and workflow management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Journalism, or a related field is a plus.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills for concise and compelling online content.
- Strong project management skills, including exceptional planning, organization, and time management.
- Demonstrated understanding of digital marketing principles and content strategy.
- Experience editing and managing newsletters (Marketing Cloud experience is a plus).
- Proven ability to create content calendars and implement content strategies.
- Comfortable creating graphics using Canva or similar tools.
- Experience managing social media platforms (e.g., Twitter/X, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube) and social CMS platforms (e.g., Sprout).
- Experience managing website content.
- Ability to interpret and report analytics to team members and leadership.
- Capacity to thrive while multitasking in a deadline-driven, dynamic environment.
- Strong emotional intelligence and communication skills for guiding stakeholders through complex project processes.
- Demonstrated understanding of digital audiences and online content trends.
- **Salary Range:** $64,000 - $74,800
- This role requires a minimum of two days per week in our Washington, DC office for team collaboration.
