## Assistant Director for Policy

We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated legal professional to serve as Assistant Director for Policy. This critical role involves leading federal immigration policy, compliance, and legal programs, requiring a deep understanding of immigration law and proven executive leadership skills.

### Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, analysis, and implementation of immigration law and policy.
  • Provide authoritative legal guidance on complex and unprecedented immigration matters.
  • Strategically manage and lead diverse programs, including legal, policy, advisory services, regulatory affairs, and community relations.
  • Cultivate productive working relationships with stakeholders, officials, and advocacy groups to resolve policy interpretations.
  • Advise the Director, EOIR on significant legal and policy issues.
### Minimum Qualifications:
  • **Education:** LL.B. or J.D. degree.
  • **Licensure:** Active member of the bar, licensed to practice law in any U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia.
  • **Experience:**
* U.S. Citizenship is required. * Minimum of seven (7) years of post-bar admission legal practice. * At least one (1) year of experience equivalent to the GS-15 level in Federal service.

  • **Program Leadership:** Ability to determine needs, formulate plans, policies, and objectives, and successfully lead a wide range of legal and policy programs related to immigration law.
  • **Communication Skills:** Expert ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships, resolve policy differences, and provide effective advice and guidance to senior leadership.
