Job Description

Anatomic Pathology Specialist needed to prepare and process surgical specimens and slides, supporting a clinical laboratory environment.
The Anatomic Pathology Specialist performs essential tasks within a clinical laboratory, focusing on the preparation and analysis of anatomical specimens. **Responsibilities:** * Work within a clinical laboratory environment. * Assist in developing and revising Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). * Ink gross surgical specimens for clear identification. * Dissect and submit representative sections of specimens. * Prepare slides by processing tissue blocks, embedding tissue, cutting, staining, and coverslipping. **Qualifications:** * **Education:** * Bachelor's or graduate degree in a medical, health, or allied science field. * OR Master's or equivalent graduate degree in Pathology, Biology, Anatomy, Chemistry, or a related science field. * **Experience:** * One year of specialized experience in a clinical laboratory environment, including SOP development, gross specimen handling (inking, dissecting), and tissue preparation (processing, embedding, cutting, staining, coverslipping). * OR a combination of qualifying education and experience. * **Preferred:** ASCP Certification.
