Summary

Aerospace Engineer sought to apply advanced engineering and scientific methods to design, test, and sustain complex aerospace systems.

Join our team as an Aerospace Engineer, applying advanced principles to design, test, and sustain critical aerospace systems.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Apply scientific and engineering methods to research and solve complex aerospace engineering problems.
  • Lead project development and execution, providing expert advisory services based on advanced engineering theories.
  • Conduct development testing and evaluation, integrating experimental theories into weapon system support.
  • Plan, design, test, troubleshoot, and oversee the development and sustainment of integrated air-vehicles, ground systems, and support equipment.
  • Evaluate design criteria and assess the impact of new technologies on existing systems.
  • *Required Qualifications:**
  • **Education:** A Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
* *or* A Bachelor's degree in Engineering including differential and integral calculus and advanced coursework in five of seven specific engineering science areas (e.g., statics, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, electrical fields, materials science). * *or* A combination of education and experience demonstrating thorough knowledge of physical/mathematical sciences and practical engineering application.
  • **Experience:** At least one year of specialized experience applying scientific and engineering research methods to complex aerospace engineering problems, equivalent to a GS-11 federal level.
  • *Desired Skills & Abilities:**
  • Strong foundation in aerospace engineering concepts, principles, and standards.
  • Expertise in development testing, evaluation, and applying experimental theories.
  • Knowledge of integrated air-vehicles, ground systems, and support equipment.
  • Familiarity with other engineering disciplines and acquisition procedures.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with proven ability to collaborate professionally.
  • *Note:** Credit is given for relevant unpaid, part-time, and volunteer work experience.
