Join our team as an Aerospace Engineer, serving as a technical specialist in integrating aeronautics sciences within aviation projects. This role involves significant technical leadership and management across various project phases.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Provide technical leadership and management for aerospace engineering projects and programs.
  • Guide and evaluate design and development activities throughout the lifecycle management process.
  • Support the acquisition, development, and sustainment of weapon systems, subsystems, and support equipment.
  • Apply advanced engineering theories, principles, and concepts to project development, execution, and advisory services.
  • Plan, design, test, troubleshoot, evaluate, and oversee integrated air-vehicles, ground systems, and components.
  • *Qualifications:**
  • **Experience:** Minimum of one (1) year of specialized experience (equivalent to GS-11) as an aerospace engineer supporting weapon systems acquisition, development, or sustainment.
  • **Education:**
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program, or * A Bachelor's degree including differential and integral calculus and advanced courses in five of seven specified engineering science/physics areas. * *Official transcripts are required.*
  • **or Combination:** A blend of relevant education and technical experience demonstrating a strong foundation in engineering sciences, evidenced by professional registration (EI, EIT, PE) or passing the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) examination.
  • *Desired Skills & Competencies:**
  • Extensive knowledge of professional aerospace engineering concepts, principles, practices, and methods.
  • Proficiency in development testing and evaluation, applying experimental theories to weapon systems.
  • Understanding of integrated air-vehicles, ground systems, and support equipment.
  • Familiarity with other engineering disciplines and standard acquisition regulations.
  • Ability to devise and evaluate design criteria, parameters, and assess the impact of new technology.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to collaborate professionally with diverse stakeholders.
  • Credit is given for appropriate unpaid, part-time, and volunteer experience.*
